The Little League programme and the NK Little League are of course mainly about the fun of playing and the experience we want to give as many kids as possible. But there is also a fine prize to be won.
The teams that win the NK Little League earn a ticket to the Regionals (the European championship) held in Europe during the summer. The winning team has to travel to the European championship with the same line-up.
In 2025 we again have a Regionals tournament on home soil. Amsterdam Pirates has been chosen by Little League Europe to host and organise the Baseball Juniors Regionals.
Taking part in these tournaments is at the teams’ own expense. Players look for sponsors and set up fundraising campaigns to pay for the trip. The result is some fine and creative team building!
The winning teams of the Regionals qualify for the World Series. That trip is arranged and paid for entirely by the Little League organisation in the USA. It really is a gift and a fantastic experience!
