Volunteer at a venue

Everything there is to do at a venue that is not coaching or umpiring: from the scoreboard and the catering to welcoming the teams. One half-day is already enough — and you do not need to know anything about baseball.

Sign up

Fill in what you would like to do, where you would rather be and when you are available. You can sign up all year round; we make the assignments in the run-up to the tournament.

Are you an umpire? Sign up on the umpire page instead — it also asks for your address, your availability and your travel costs.

Would you like to coach a team? That goes through the regional coordinator of your region: they select the teams and sign the coaches up.

If you work with children, we request the VOG for you and pay for it.

Tasks to choose from

You state your preference; the venue coordinator makes the assignments. Well before the weekend you hear where you are expected, who you work with and what time to be there.

What you get in return

Food and drink during your shift, a volunteer shirt and the best view of the tournament there is.

Travel expenses

Umpires receive a mileage allowance based on the distance to their venue. For other volunteers an arrangement is made by agreement.
How it works for umpires

Your data

Your sign-up goes to the tournament office and is used only for this season's assignments. What we keep and for how long is in the privacy statement.
