Accessibility
This site must be usable with a keyboard, a screen reader, heavy zooming or bright sunlight on a phone next to the field.
What we aim for
We follow WCAG 2.2 level AA. Among other things that means: everything can be operated with the keyboard, there is always a visible focus, colour is never the only carrier of information, and the site works at 320 pixels wide and at 200% zoom without horizontal scrolling.
What we have tested
- Contrast of all colour combinations, measured and captured in a test that fails as soon as someone changes a colour.
- The menu fully by keyboard: opening, navigating with the arrow keys, closing with Esc and focus back on the button.
- Moving content can be paused and stands still when your system asks for reduced motion.
- Every page declares its language, and a page that falls back to Dutch says so to assistive technology as well.
What is not finished yet
- The screen reader test on the core paths has not been completed.
- There is no independent audit by an external party yet.
