The Dutch softball team poses with the Little League European Region banner.

The road to Williamsport

Little League is a worldwide organisation. The Dutch champion plays the European tournament in the summer; whoever wins there goes to the World Series.

After the championship

Three steps further

1

Dutch champion

The winner of the championship represents the Netherlands. Which league moves on to Europe differs per year.

2

European tournament

In the summer the national champions of the Europe-Africa region play each other for one place in the World Series.

3

Little League World Series

In Williamsport, Pennsylvania — where Little League began in 1939. The tournament is broadcast worldwide.

Little League International

The organisation in Williamsport sets the playing rules, manages the age limits and recognises the national organisations. What applies on our field comes from there.

Europe and Africa

The Netherlands falls under the Europe-Africa region. That region organises the qualifying tournaments and supports the national organisations.

KNBSB

The Royal Dutch Baseball and Softball Federation is the national federation. Clubs are members; among other things the federation provides the integrity manager our confidential contact person works with.
