# The road to Williamsport

Little League is a worldwide organisation. The Dutch champion plays the European tournament in the summer; whoever wins there goes to the World Series.

### Dutch champion

The winner of the championship represents the Netherlands. Which league moves on to Europe differs per year.

### European tournament

In the summer the national champions of the Europe-Africa region play each other for one place in the World Series.

### Little League World Series

In Williamsport, Pennsylvania — where Little League began in 1939. The tournament is broadcast worldwide.

### Little League International

The organisation in Williamsport sets the playing rules, manages the age limits and recognises the national organisations. What applies on our field comes from there.

### Europe and Africa

The Netherlands falls under the Europe-Africa region. That region organises the qualifying tournaments and supports the national organisations.

### KNBSB

The Royal Dutch Baseball and Softball Federation is the national federation. Clubs are members; among other things the federation provides the integrity manager our confidential contact works with.
