Who are we?
About Little League
Little League Baseball and Softball is an originally international organization that organizes local youth baseball and softball leagues in the United States. The Little League program is for baseball and softball players aged 10 to 16.
In the Netherlands, we play league competitions with our club teams. Additionally, we organize the Little League Program for enthusiastic kids. In the Netherlands, Little League is a regional training program that you can individually sign up for. Everyone is welcome!
If you register, you will receive a minimum of 3 training sessions in your region. Afterward, you can be selected for an All-Star team, and with that team, you will compete in the Dutch Little League Championship, which takes place every year during Pentecost.
The winning teams from the Dutch Championship go on to compete in the European Championship. Please note that the program for Softball Seniors is structured differently this year. You can read more about that here.
It’s so exciting that the winning teams from the European Championship get to go to the World Series in America, all expenses covered by the international Little League organization! How amazing is that!
Note: the Little League age is not always the age the player will be during the Dutch Little League Championship.
There are 4 age categories.
- Little League (Littles) 10 to 12 years old"
- Intermediate League (baseball only) 11 to 13 years old
- Junior League 12 to 14 years old
- Senior League 13 to 16 years old
